Great choice in fasting days Lori. A day of fasting per week will certainly allow for the body to rest and rejuvenate itself.

All the best.

I worry when you said blacking out. Are you eating enough?

Arete- Thank you :)

Aimee- I found out that it was because I was lying down in the sauna. I went in another day and sat up and was totally fine. The day I blacked out was also my first time in the sauna in a couple months. I should have eased into it. I am pretty sensitive. :)

ok, glad you figured it out. that used to happen to me too in the sauna. it's intense detox!

Hi Lori,
It's interesting for me to see how simply you eat. I am going to give it a try this week!
Wishing you well with your challenge, I shall be sure to tune in for the next update.

Lori,

Do you find yourself losing weight due to eating mainly all fruits?

You are so diligent! I hope I can get that way really soon. I am struggling as of late. I am eating 95% raw but in large quantities, I can't seem to control myself. :/ ideas?

Emily- I have found that eating simple allows me to focus on other things rather than food. I am focusing on living. It was an adjustment and I still eat complex dishes, just not everyday. I think that simple is the way to go. :) Good luck!

Amie Sue- fruit is definitely keeping me from bingeing on junk food. It give me a sweet fix in a healthy way. I do need to be eating more leafy greens though. I think I burned out on them and I have been taking a break. I really recommend you read 80/10/10. It changed my raw food mentality. I did large quanities too for a long time. The 24 hour fast helped shrink my stomach a bit and reset the appetite. It is my personal life saver. :)

Lori ~
This post and your response about eating simply and focusing on living really struck a chord and stuck with me. It helped keep me on track on a trip recently and I'm starting to feel an increased sense of balance.
Thank you!

hi lori,

Is it hard to stick to 80/10/10? Are you still keeping to that diet now?
I have been on that diet for 2 weeks and now starting to slide off, cos' I find myself being drawn to cooked dishes.
